• Abstract Hintergrund: Die Transformation der Berufsbilder im deutschen Rettungs-dienst – insbesondere seit der Umstellung auf NotfallsanitäterInnen – hat die Anforderungen an das Einsatzpersonal deutlich verändert. Internationale Mo-delle, wie das Field-Supervision-Modell der Berufsrettung Wien zeigen, dass direkte, vor Ort erfolgende Supervision die Einsatzqualität und Personalent-wicklung verbessern. In Deutschland ist ein solches System derzeit nicht etab-liert. Zielsetzung: Diese Forschungsarbeit untersucht die Anforderungen und Er-wartungen von MitarbeiterInnen des deutschen Rettungsdienstes an Field Su-pervisorInnen. Es werden sowohl die fachlichen Kompetenzen als auch die per-sönlichen, didaktischen und organisatorischen Fähigkeiten erforscht, die für eine erfolgreiche Implementierung eines Field-Supervision-Modell zu beachten sind. Methode: Es wurden zwei qualitative, leitfadengestützte Fokusgruppeninter-views mit jeweils vier RettungsdienstmitarbeiterInnen durchgeführt. Die Tonauf-nahmen wurden nach den Vorgaben von Dresing und Pehl (2018) transkribiert. Die Auswertung erfolgte anhand der inhaltlich strukturierenden qualitativen In-haltsanalyse nach Kuckartz (2022) mit einer deduktiv-induktiven Kategorienbil-dung. Ergebnis und Schlussfolgerung: Die Teilnehmenden erwarten von den Field SupervisorInnen fundierte fachliche Kompetenzen. Zudem sollen sie über lang-jährige Praxiserfahrung verfügen, um komplexe notfallmedizinische Abläufe si-cher steuern zu können. Ergänzend werden ausgeprägte didaktische, kommu-nikative und organisatorische Fähigkeiten gefordert, um Feedback konstruktiv zu formulieren und Einsätze präzise zu analysieren. Darüber hinaus sollen sie anpassungsfähig, teamfähig und empathisch agieren, um den Herausforderun-gen im dynamischen Einsatzgeschehen gerecht zu werden. Mit Berücksichti-gung dieser Voraussetzungen über geeignete Personen und deren Fortbildung, lassen sich wesentliche Weichen zur Implementierung von Field SupervisorIn-nen in Deutschland stellen. • Abstract Background: The transformation of job profiles in the German rescue service - particularly since the changeover to emergency paramedics - has significantly changed the demands placed on emergency personnel. International models, such as the field supervision model of Berufsrettung Wien, show that direct, on-site supervision improves the quality of operations and personnel development. Such a system is lacking in Germany. Objective: This thesis examines the requirements and expectations of employees of the German emergency services for field supervisors. It explores the professional competencies as well as the personal, didactic and organizati-onal skills that are required for the successful implementation of a field supervi-sion model. Method: Two qualitative, guided focus group interviews were conducted with four ambulance service employees each. The audio recordings were transcri-bed in accordance with Dresing and Pehl (2018). The evaluation was carried out using the content-structuring qualitative analysis according to Kuckartz (2022) with deductive-inductive category formation. Results The interviews reveal that field supervisors must possess solid techni-cal competencies and extensive practical experience to effectively manage complex emergency medical procedures. Additionally, strong didactic, commu-nicative, and organizational skills are essential for providing constructive feed-back and accurately analyzing operations. Moreover, they must be adaptable, team-oriented, and empathetic to meet the challenges of a dynamic operational environment. Results and Conclusion: Participants expect field supervisors to have sound professional expertise and many years of practical experience in order to safely manage complex emergency medical procedures. In addition, strong didactic, communicative and organisational skills are required in order to formulate feed-back constructively and analyse assignments precisely. They should also be adaptable, able to work in a team and empathetic in order to meet the challen-ges of dynamic operations. By taking these prerequisites into account through suitable people and their further training, it is possible to set the course for the implementation of field supervisors in Germany.
